Chaos in the flesh

So, I bet you weren’t expecting that when you clicked on this weeks video entry, but I thought that since Elizabeth Grosz’s work deals with something very near and dear to my heart—chaos theory—that I might as well throw something chaotic into the mix. I used Xtranormal.com to create the above skit, and I was quickly surprised at how my composition of the short video related to Grosz’s writing about territorialization (11) and Joyce’s concept of “chaosmos.”

For instance, think about the assigned blog for this class as representing a reserved digital space that each of us as students in the class have been given proprietorship of. Now, by virtue of what maintaining a blog entails it is my responsibility to populate that space, which I would argue is similar to Grosz’s description of primordial habitat architecture.  This small passage only summarily states my position here, but in the interest of brevity let’s move on to the next point.
The chaosmos, or “composed chaos,” is an interesting concept indeed, and one can see it at play clearly…

Chaotic, no? Please forgive the overall wierdness of the post, believe me, I am just as aware of it as you are. But that's the thing with Chaos, it's out of our control.  I really enjoyed Grosz and will continue to read her.
